The other plants that interested me that morning were these spiky plants which I’ve yet to learn the name of. (Upon writing this article – I googled it and apparently these are likely Yucca – a hearty plant native to Colorado).
As we continued along the hike – the sun rose higher and higher and we were treated to some stunning views as the light cascaded through the canyon – illuminating the walls around us in a warm morning embrace.
Further into the trail I found another Yucca I wanted to photograph – so I took out my camera and framed up the scene.
The blue plants I’d captured in the photograph from the prior post (Dawn Of New Beginnings In Colorado) surrounded this beautiful plant – and I couldn’t help but feel at peace.
It was a wonderful scene to look at and admire – and other than Sophie and I no one else was there to enjoy it. It was serenity embodied and offered a glimpse into what life would be like in Colorado. Offering up opportunity for reflection on life in the quiet solitude of the natural world.
