Rockies

Scale beyond many other things I've had the pleasure of visiting. Tag along as we explore the Rockies.

The Rockies was (at the time of writing this in January 2024) the most recent trip I’d gone on. I already miss it even though it only happened a few short months ago. The entire trip was fueled by mountains, forests and woodlands and it was thrilling. After the variety I’d shot the year prior in the Southwest, I was ready to take on a trip dedicated to nothing but mountains and forests.

The Rockies offered this up on a silver platter in quantities I could never fully comprehend. From the beginnings when I was driving through Idaho into Montana and then the final days in Wyoming stop-to-finish it was a whirlwind. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did taking all of them. I’ve saved my favorite image for the bottom of the page – make sure you check it out!

If you read visit this gallery and need to take one recommendation away – I’d recommend visiting Glacier National Park. While not as easy to travel around (or get to) as Jackson, the pure scale of the park and the peaks within it are second to none. It truly felt like a fairy-tale while I was hiking and exploring that part of the country. I’d recommend hiking Grinell Glacier, you’ll see some images from the hike below. It’s long, but well worth doing!
